Pen & Wash

If you have materials ie pencils or whatever your course requires it would be helpful if you brought them, if you don't I will have everything for you to try for the first week. And I can advise you on what to buy. Give me a shout at                                                                if you want to have a chat about what course or materials would suit you best. You can read some reviews  from my current students at the bottom of the page & examples of work by my students and by me in class in my

Reviews from current students...

I have attended Victoria’s classes for over 5 years. Always informative but also most enjoyable. Victoria teaches not only with deep knowledge and experience of the subject, but also with humour and makes the class a very pleasant way of learning. Lessons include not only help with drawing, understanding proportions and colour mixing, but also explanation of techniques to create exciting effects. ‘Beginners’ and ‘improvers’ all definitely benefit.                                                                             Basil Mavroleon

Watercolour Art Classes with Victoria are just inspirational - as a complete beginner I have found them to be stimulating, informative, challenging and life affirming. Not only are you given the opportunity to develop an interest, you can make new friends and maybe even discover hidden talents!                                                                                                                                                                                    Kathryn Aldous

I was a complete novice when I joined Victoria’s Water Colour class, never having wielded an art brush since primary school. Victoria’s patient guidance has given me the confidence to experiment with colour and technique, to produce some delightful paintings. Every class I’ve attended has had a great sociable atmosphere. Yes there is homework but you don’t get put in detention if life gets in the way. I always leave class with a smile on my face.                                                                      Karen Ashdown

I discovered the joys of zoom during Lockdown. Here is a review of one of my Saturday online classes in the Kent Messenger by Angela Cole, who
joined us for pen & wash. Online has remained popular since Lockdown & can really suit some students.
